The animations sb pan and sb tilt are created from photographs of a portrait of Samuel Beckett around which I built an opaque projector. This project was an outgrowth of Julian Mereuta's Web Performance for Turtle Paris 2010 at Galerie Arnaud LeFebvre. For a subsequent show there I printed a series of small "Rehearsal Prints" as their arrangement and presentation were not finalized. The same images form the rehearsal prints form the rehearsal animations - without soundtrack or accompanying choreography. The portrait of Samuel Beckett was taken by a woman in Paris, and given to Michael Shamberg, perhaps in the 1990's. I have been unable to find any further information, but would welcome it.
